MY STORY

Growing up with the Homosassa River as my back yard, it’s safe to say fishing has been imbedded into my blood. I remember the early years as a young boy, just old enough to hold on to a fishing rod, and my father taking me on our 14-foot flats boat to spend the day red fishing on the Homosassa River. Countless hours of success and defeat on the flats with my father has shaped my path for who I am today. Once I grew mature enough to start running my own flats boat, I became obsessive over the river and the creatures that lived there. After years had gone by, my passion for fishing grew larger and I knew I wanted to make a career out of this lifestyle, particularly fly fishing for TARPON.

My MISSION

Here at Mad Mangrove Outfitters, I take a tremendous amount of pride in my small business, which is why good ole fashion service and hospitality is my top priority. From the moment my guest’s step foot in my skiff, I strive to emerge them into what the Homosassa River truly has to offer. Whether it’s the views of nature during the ride to the fishing spot, the ruthless tugs from a giant tarpon at the end of your fly line, or as simple as the endless conversation and story’s we will share while poling around looking for our next fish; I will always strive to give my guest’s an experience of a lifetime that they will never forget.
